Dare I say that The Lakes has been lavished with so much attention in recent years that it has become the premier course at Mount Edgecombe? It has a glorious look to it from tee to green. It is certainly a more interesting and challenging layout. I’m told that competitors in last month’s SA championships preferred it to The Woods. And very quiet and tranquil in the forest compared to the traffic noise levels around The Woods. The halfway stop at the Watershed Cafe by Pani Dam also provides a great offering of breakfast dishes for morning golfers.
