Some lovely holes, notably the stroke 2 (uphill par-4 16th) which requires a good tee shot and challenging approach over palm trees to the green. The only downside about playing The Lakes in winter is that some holes have hard fairways sloping towards water hazards which means a good tee shot can be unfairly punished, spoiling the playability of the course. Greens rolling well and in good condition.
