Strand has challenging holes beginning early on with the par-5 second with its huge trees in the middle of the fairway. Two strong par-3s on the back nine at 14 and 17 with water in play and wind a factor. Greens well-manicured but some bunkers need softer sand. I like the fact that management are visible and mingle with golfers. Friendly membership and an excellent greenkeeper in Casper Mostert (Southern Turf Management).
