St Francis Links is the top Jack Nicklaus design in South Africa. On my recent visit I found the greens the best they have ever been. The bunkers were consistent, fairways and tees in great condition. Many think this is a difficult course, but I disagree. The landing areas off the tees are wide and if you play the correct tees the course is very playable. The only defence the course has is the wind. There are so many excellent holes, my favorite being the much talked about par-3 17th. The service at the club is world class and the overall experience well worth a trip to the Eastern Cape.
