Sishen is equivalent in excellence to Leopard Creek, The Links at Fancourt, and Gary Player CC. But the green fee is a fraction of what you will pay at those courses. It’s a bucket list destination in South Africa. Recent rain has put Sishen in excellent condition. Tee shots must be positioned in the correct part of the fairway in order to have a straight shot at the green. Otherwise, you have to improvise with a high/low draw or fade. Greens were holding nicely in the Senior Interprovincial, smooth and quick, sand in bunkers consistent, fairways well covered and no need to place. It pays to stay out of the rough with so many trees and animal burrows.
