Rustenburg have just hosted the 54-hole SA Senior Open won by Wallie Coetsee (68-69-70). First time the tournament had been played there, and the pros generally appeared to enjoy the bushveld layout and its interesting challenges. Pros can be more critical than most, and there was grumbling about the state of the bunker sand, and the greens on the course being much slower than the practice green. One thing everyone noticed though was the untidiness of the entrance areas to the club and clubhouse.
