Parkview, while not being the longest course, still remains a stern test for a good golfer. It really shines in its par four holes, with a great mix of risk and reward holes, as well as longer holes that require a longer and well placed tee shot. The closing stretch on each side is probably the sternest test of golf where a good score can quickly deteriorate. Conditioning has probably not been as good as it has been in the past, whereas Parkview arguably had the best greens in Johannesburg over many years, this isn’t the case anymore. That being said, it is always a good day out at the course and one of the more vibrant 19 holes in SA golf.
