Evidence of the 2023 floods is noticeable. The fairways on No 2 and No 8 have narrowed with the Berg River encroaching closer to them, making for more challenging tee shots. The fairway bunker on No 5 close to the river is GUR. The course has recovered though to be in a good condition. Greens were smooth but cut higher to protect them against the heat with temperatures of 40C and more. Paarl has magnificent scenery and is a joy to play.
