Maccauvlei retains its charm as one of the best country courses around. Course was in good condition considering the late rains and heat. The layout is varied, playable and challenging. The signature stretch along the Vaal River is superb. Pace of play on a Saturday afternoon was slow the front nine. A great experience and a must play for all Gauteng-based golfers with a weekday green fee of R180 for visitors.
