Glad to return to one of my favourite layouts. This links is a gem and such a pity it isn’t in a bigger city for more golfers to experience. I caught it on an extremely windy day where flagsticks were bending sideways and any lofted shot into the wind would stop the ball in its tracks. The crosswind on the par-3 sixth made for a tough shot to a tiny target. Humewood is still the truest links we have in SA and is so fun to play with all its movement in the fairways and around the greens. Disappointing though that kikuyu grass is taking over and reducing the ground game. I wish more golfers could experience one of our iconic courses.
