George is one of the best of our “local clubs,” constantly holding its own against the newer estate courses and championship layouts. It remains a solid test for any level of golfer, requiring accuracy off the tee and a good short game. There are no weak holes, which means that every tee box presents a unique challenge. I’ve played the course in better condition, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t in great shape this time. The Garden Route has had so much rain that everything is lush and sodden underfoot.
