One of the finest bushveld golf experiences. Elements is a rugged championship layout in a game reserve and the veld grass and bush is thick away from the playing corridors. Little hope of finding a ball which disappears in there, even more so if you’re aware that deadly mambas have staked their territories out. No homes lining holes as there are in other bushveld residential estates. It’s just you and the bush. The fairways have suffered from a hot summer, and don’t look good, but placing always allows a cushioned lie on kikuyu grass. The areas around the greens are superbly covered though, while the greens themselves are slick and true. The lengthy water hole around the eighth, ninth and 18th greens is a beautiful feature, and there’s now continual flowing water guarding the front of the par-5 third. Golfers love to play the mountainside tee at the par-3 ninth instead of the lower ones on the water, but the tee is small and gets little chance to recover.
