Elements is a true test of grit and character. A special course which requires pinpoint accuracy from the tee boxes. A wayward tee shot will be punished and leave your ball lying in the veld among the puffadders. The course is in need of rain, yet the greens are second to none and run true. Tee boxes are beautiful. The remote location of Elements in the Waterberg is an asset in the sense that one is surrounded by beautiful bushveld, providing privacy and solitude as well as a feeling you are playing golf in a nature reserve. The remote location is also a liability as the club would benefit from more feet through the course, and service would be sharper. The par-3 ninth, from its high pulpit tee to a semi-island green, is special to play. If you haven’t yet played Elements, put it on your bucket list.
