It’s the exceptional variety of hole designs that for me makes Eagle Canyon an interesting and exciting course to play. So many surprises along the way. Also the extreme elevation changes in this former quarry. Some of the climbs from green to tee are so steep that our golf cart was struggling at times to find power. We reached the 18th tee, the highest point of the course, in late afternoon, and what a beautiful view there is from this vantage point, over the back nine holes, all the water hazards, and the rolling hills looking south. My only criticism of Eagle Canyon would be that, with a few exceptions, the greens complexes are mostly undistinctive.
