Bryanston I found a surprisingly tight and cleverly designed course which defends itself well off the tee, particularly in the winter months when the ball is running on the firm fairways towards bunkers or water hazards or into the trees. Problems quickly arise if you’re off line. The undulating terrain means there’s only a couple of long holes which could be described as flat so being able to shape the ball one way or the other to suit the sloping contours of the terrain is a big advantage. The fairways are in magnificent condition so it’s the best place to be. Much to admire about this classy club with its matchless easy-to-access facilities.
