Five new bridges have been built at Bosch Hoek, crossing the broad stream that runs through the 9-hole course, starting at the third green at the far end of the property from the clubhouse, and flowing past the green of 9/18. The bridges, built using attractive local stone, are impressively engineered arched constructions, notably the one at the par-5 third which is stunningly situated alongside the narrow green. The bridges proved their worth during a flash flood recently. One of the four bridges between 8/9 & 17/18 is called Clarks Crossing after owner Ivan Clark. It has been a hot summer, and the fairways are unusually long due to the delayed delivery of a new fairway mower, a common problem faced by several clubs.
