This KZN Midlands gem provides a test of accuracy off the tee. Narrow landing areas and mature trees guard large areas of the course. The greens complexes are a key defence; cleverly shaped with subtle sloping. The par 3s are a highlight. The varied tee boxes add interest to them, and any breeze will impact an errant shot on holes where water hazards lurk. Some par 4s are driveable, a carrot to the longer hitter, but missing your landing area will leave a difficult approach. There are no guaranteed birdies. Bosch Hoek offers excellent service, beautiful presentation and an interesting layout, which you get to experience twice.
