Bosch Hoek is a fantastic experience and deserves its place as a destination for any golfer passing through the KZN Midlands. Our group had a warm welcoming experience in a special part of the country. The clubhouse is cosy and immaculate and the staff friendly and helpful. The course, a superb 9-hole design, is a mix of woodland and lakeside golf with meandering hillside streams. The variance in tee box positions for the back nine offers challenging options and a different perspective of each hole. The 4th/13th hole is a great testing par 4, teeing off from an elevated tee with an expansive view of green rolling hills in the background. Here you must choose between an aggressive play with a driver, taking on the stream on the left but avoiding the oak trees to the right, or a conservative play with an iron, still a demanding shot. The closer you keep to the water the better the view of the green for the second shot. Given the amount of rain KZN has seen recently the greens were fast and true. The tees had suffered in the wet weather and may need levelling, but the course staff have done an amazing job presenting the course in such good condition this close to winter.
