Beachwood was forced to close in early May after its tenants were evicted by the developers (who have future plans for the property), including Simon Draycott who had been leasing the course and providing budget pay-and-play golf. However, its condition had markedly deteriorated this year. The developers have now contracted the Matko Group to look after the course, and holes 1 to 10 will be reopened for play once missing pumps and parts for satellite control boxes have been replaced. Holes 11-18 will be mown but not maintained for play.
