For the past two years this busy Cape Town course has been a pleasure for members to play, day in and day out, with consistent and excellent conditioning. Some of the towering pine trees that Westlake is renowned for are unfortunately needing to be cut down as they near the end of their safe life. The ground staff have been clearing out the rough areas under some of the trees and the course is now almost like a park. The greens have nap, and when visitors ask for a putting line the inevitable response from a member of “mountain side” is still valid.
