Wedgewood is an enjoyable layout in excellent condition. Good design variety with varied shot shapes required off the tee and approach shots. Putting surfaces impressive with a beautiful roll. Similarly, the bunkers are well presented and the sand is consistently good. Wedgewood has varied front and back nines, with the “risk-reward” theme being common on the 4s. The par-3 12th has similarities to No 12 at Augusta National with strong bunkering and water guarding the front of the greens complex. Scoring opportunities abound on the short 5s (460m and less), though they are defended by prevailing winds and hazards around the greens. The finishing stretch from 16-18 includes a strong 4, reachable 4 and a brutal 5. The 18th was difficult into a breeze. Overall good experience with attentive service and a well designed 19th.
