Waterkloof continues to improve, with focused attention on greens and fairways. Course well presented and in good shape after recent rain. Design is varied with strong set of 3s which are fun to play (6-8-15-17). No 17 is a brute with water left and bunkering right, playing around 180-200, a card wrecker in waiting. Par 4s typically have small greens, well designed to protect par. The loop from 3 to 7 is interesting with narrow landing areas and tight approaches. My favourite hole is the par-4 fifth (374 white) which is tight off the tee and requires an accurate shot into a narrow green. Waterkloof is well run and welcoming. Encouraging to see the number of juniors playing, demonstrating that access to the game is supported by the club. Conditioning is at a consistently high level.
