A very different looking Lakes course is due to re-open in November, having been closed since July 7 for major improvements. There have been design alterations by Matko Turf for better playability, while new bunkers have been built, and others reshaped or moved closer to greens. Some bunkers have been closed. White bunker sand has been used to give The Lakes a different feel to The Woods. Bunker Armour was involved in the project.
