The Lakes is very much underrated. Longer hitters should consider playing off the yellow tees (6246 metres) to enjoy the course as you can run out of track off the whites (5841). Conditioning is top notch from tee to green and it’s a layout with attractive scenery. There are a couple of funny holes. I prefer The Lakes (ranked 72) over The Woods (ranked 53) all day, and its ranking should be higher. The Lakes is also quieter once you are through the first few holes, with no interference from the busy roads that run next to several holes on The Woods.
