Most interesting course to play if you like quirky holes and don’t mind unpredictable bounces. There are many of them here in what is a surprisingly rural and hilly setting. Very pleasant atmosphere. The first is a downhill 5 yet plays so short with the run that it’s a wedge into the green. That’s if you’ve stayed on a steep fairway. At 415m this should be a par 4? There are five par 5s, but 18 is only 400m. Yet when you look at where the green is, high above the fairway, you can see why it is a 5. There are also five par 3s, and what a mix of holes they are, mostly short, but with an uphill tiger at No 5. Lots of aces have been recorded, and any golfer who has three 2s on the card gets their name on a trophy. Friendly club with good catering, and one which obviously needs more support from visiting golfers if it is to survive.
