Very playable, fun course with space off the tee on most holes. Greens in excellent shape, as are the bunkers which are well positioned around this village gem. Par 3s are memorable, No 8 one of the best. Water guards front of green, and it is played into the prevailing breeze. Another highlight is the par-4 12th, one of the Eastern Cape’s best holes played down a narrow chute of a fairway towards the beach. Afterwards, take in the beautiful ocean view from the 13th tee. The finishing stretch is testing. The closing par 5 is reachable in two, but only after a good drive through a tree-lined avenue to the corner of the dogleg. Overall atmosphere is relaxed compared to neighbouring St Francis Links. The Bay offering continues to improve, its popularity clear to see with the number of players. Halfway house was slow and could be improved. Besides that the St Francis Bay experience makes it worth a visit.
