George Coetzee is back to form after a 16-month break from pro golf following ligament surgery on a wrist. He had 27 birdies and one eagle over 72 holes of the Serengeti Playoffs to win going away on 19-under. His 15th Sunshine Tour win. He had 11 birdies in a first round 65. The Signature course was receptive after all the rain, yet the average score was still 70.97. Serengeti lacks strong 4s though to test the tour pros, and six of the 10 played under par for the tournament. There were four eagle 2s at the 349 second. No 13 (449) was the toughest hole, averaging 4.22. And three of the par 3s (5-9-12) were among the hardest five holes. The 16th is a good challenging par 5 (574), and it proved tougher than usual for Werner Deyzel who had a 12 there in the final round.
