San Lameer has introduced bent grass overseeding for the first time to its paspalum greens, instead of poa trivialis, and it has made a massive difference to the quality of the putting surfaces. The greens should now be smooth for putting throughout the year. There is enough paspalum in them to survive the heat and humidity in January and February. San Lameer completed drainage projects in 2022 to prevent future damage and speed up recovery of the course after major rains such as we had earlier in 2022. And another eight tee boxes, mainly red and blue, were laser-levelled and increased in size, while troublesome trees were removed on five of the first 10 holes (on 1, 3, 5, 7 and 10) to help with fairway growth and playability on those holes.
