PBCC blends natural beauty with challenging play. The course winds through lush vegetation where the sights and sounds of nature complement every swing. Par is defended by strategically placed bunkers and small greens that demand precision play. The layout favours accuracy over power, making it a great course for golfers skilled at placing their shots in the right areas. A highlight for me is its collection of par 3s. They range from 117m on 11, to the more daunting 175 on No 8 (white tees). A back pin on 8 is one of the toughest on the course. The par 5s become a real test when the prevailing winds pick up. Gusty weather can turn what might seem an easy par into a more difficult challenge. This is where the true character of the course is revealed, testing a golfer’s skill, adaptability, and strategy. The narrow seventh is a personal favourite (419 off white) with a stream guarding the right side of the fairway, and bush the left side. The clubhouse has a new 19th hole where the pro shop used to be.
