After last playing here in 2023, I was pleasantly surprised to see the improvement in the clubhouse and conditioning. GM Tyler Chislett and his team have made significant and impactful changes, and rounds have increased significantly the last two seasons. A tranquil nature reserve course that relies on visitor and swallow patronage during summer should have being showing evidence of wear and tear but this was not the case. Tight, well manicured fairways and firm receptive greens were the order of the day. Bunkers consistently playable but perhaps not so much in colour. A new short-game practice area has been well received. Some attention to detail needed in terms of course set-up. Many flags were either at the front or back of the greens and some holes were poorly cut. Staff attentive and friendly and nothing seemed like too much trouble. A treat to play and must visit on any Garden Route golf holiday.
