We visited Pezula on a golf tour of South Africa from Brazil. A magnificent test that starts very strong on the par-5 first. We played with strong winds blowing against us and it was a beast of a hole from the tips. I enjoyed hole 4, a very pleasant short par-4 well bunkered and very strategic, in an idyllic corner of the property. The second nine brings the views of the Indian Ocean in play. The holes start to get more dramatic starting on the par-4 12th. I don’t love the short par-4 17th, which starts with a blind shot if you are going for the green, and the lay up tee-shot is somewhat lame. The 18th par-5 is tremendous, a great way to top up the round. Charming clubhouse, although keeping in mind that it doesn’t have the country club vibes (it’s not a golf club) that other places have. Overall, great golfing experience, much like most of the 11 courses we played.
