Despite a challenging past few years, Oubaai is on its way back, and the quality of work being done is already visible in the course’s condition. Significant strides have been made in recent months to elevate bunker maintenance and improving the rough. The greens are good and putt true, while the fairways are expected to firm up further this summer, promising a faster, more rewarding playing experience. The dogleg right par-4 fifth hole stood out for us and the approach shot demands your attention. Anything left of the green will be punished. Oubaai is again worth including on a Garden Route trip.
