This classic parkland layout is a scenic and challenging test. A standout feature is the quality of the greens, rolling true at a good pace. Fairways in really good shape. Regretfully, the tee boxes are in need of attention. Kyalami has strong 4s, with No 5 (385 club tee stroke 1) playing uphill. Precision is key here, as both drive and approach require careful club selection to navigate the elevation and bunkers. Similarly at No 11 (428 club tee stroke 2) with water fronting the green. Enjoyable risk-reward finishing stretch from 15-18, with water hazards in play at 15, 17 and 18. The club is undergoing renovations to its clubhouse, events and patio areas. The new facilities will provide a modern atmosphere for post-round relaxation. With its improved clubhouse offering, Kyalami CC will continue to be a popular Gauteng course, “out in the country, but close to home.”
