A joy to play Humewood on a calm day, and a treat to putt and chip on such magnificent greens, running at a perfect pace and reasonably firm for pitching. The club has recently hosted two interprovincials, Women’s Premier and Men’s Mid-Amateur, and is the venue for the 2025 SA Amateur. The Mid-Am experienced a mix of weather, big winds and calm days, and not surprisingly the host province, EP, shared A division honours with WP after an exciting final day clash. The presentation of the links could be worked on, notably the erosion around bunkers, while the burn short of the green on 17 is looking tired and unkempt. Sad to see beer and water bottles scattered in bushes around the course by disrespectful golfers.
