This might be a relatively short course, yet is a good test. Overall conditioning very good. Fairways pristine, greens rolling well, making for a rewarding experience. What stands out at Goose Valley is the stunning aesthetics, showcasing serene landscapes, mountain and ocean vistas. Many holes are framed by breathtaking scenery. Back-to-back 5s at 7-8 on the front nine provide scoring opportunities. A standout hole is the par-3 11th (143 white). offering a picturesque challenge, and requiring a precision tee shot to a green tucked into a natural setting, surrounded by severe pot bunkers — these will frustrate you at some point during the round — and coastal vegetation. A wonderful hole that highlights the beauty of Goose Valley while providing a test of accuracy. Goose Valley has a public access range and is one of the Garden Route’s top facilities.
