Euphoria is a challenging layout. This Annika Sorenstam design is demanding off the tee, thick rough and dense vegetation lining most fairways. Course is well-presented and the greens were impressive, rolling true and fast, given the heatwave in Limpopo. Having previously played here adopting the bomb and gouge approach, this time I played more sensibly with irons being far easier to control into the tight fairway landing areas. My scoring improved significantly. The greens complexes are equally demanding with slopes and run off areas guarding the front and sides. Challenging and interesting. The par 3s are a good set of holes, with the water hole 17 a personal favourite. It was playing at 185m (and more to a back pin) off the white tee. The finishing holes on each nine are par 5s which include risk-reward elements. These holes were pivotal during the Limpopo Championship hosted by Euphoria in recent years. Great value for money on a weekday and well worth a visit combined with games at Koro Creek (40km), Elements (86km) and Zebula (111km).
